Two people were shot Wednesday night on North Pine Street near uptown Charlotte but are expected to survive.

Police were called out to a home on in the 2400 block of North Pine Street just after 8 p.m. and found both victims in front of the house suffering from gunshot wounds to their lower extremities.

Witnesses said that someone burst into the home and started shooting.

Police were looking for as many as six suspects but have not made any arrests yet.
